However, he has made some controversial comments about the call-up of Ari.

Sorokin stated that a detailed report had been delivered by FIFA Chief Competitions and Events Officer, Colin Smith which is more fact-based while a general summary has also been framed to showcase the general emotions surrounding the events. On the whole, it was found that the World Cup this year was most successful and best one that could be had in history. All this was stated and supported with facts and the Council has acknowledged the same.
Russia’s Akenfeev, who is also a goalkeeper for CSKA Moscow FC, announced on October 1 his decision to withdraw from playing for the national team. The Russian national football team boasts a strong line-up of goalkeepers to replace Igor Akenfeev, who decided to pack up with his national career team earlier this month, chief executive Stanislav Cherchesov said Monday. Russia’s Akenfeev, who is also a goalkeeper for CSKA Moscow FC, announced on October 1 his decision to withdraw from playing for the national team. He started playing for the national team on April 28, 2004, in a friendly match against Norway, becoming the youngest player to debut at the national team at the age of 18 years and 20 days.
Akenfeev was called “the almighty leg” after a brilliant block of his net during a penalty shootout with the Spanish international match in the 2018 FIFA World Cup match in round 16 against Spain in July when hosts Russia continued to the quarterfinals.
Former Arsenal and Russia national team star Andrei Arshavin is set to get a one year extension at Kazakhstan side FK Kairat Almaty, as per reports. The Russian who turned 37 years old in May was set to exit the club when his deal ran out in December 2018. However reports have it that he would get a final extension as he prepares for life outside the pitch.
The former Gunner admitted to being frightened by the thoughts of retiring from professional football. He said he enjoyed the game and it was his favourite thing in life. He promised to “stay within the game” when he finally leaves pro soccer but that would be in a while as talks of contract extension are in the offing.
Dinamo Moscow dedicated their win over CSKA Moscow to their teammate Aziz Tetteh, whose father recently passed away. The entire team came in with a strong performance to get a comprehensive 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow. Aleksandr Tahsaev was the star of the show after coming in with a brace. The team showed their unity by celebrating both goals with the jersey of the player who was left sympathising over the death of his dad.
The result may also help Dinamo Moscow make-up significant ground in the Russian Premier League table. The team has been down near the bottom few places of the Russian Premier league for the campaign. However, now the team has a great opportunity to make up several places after having picked up only four wins in the 19 matches so far.
It has been a poor campaign for CSKA Moscow so far, as the team has struggled to dominate the Russian Premier league. Hence, it was not a surprise the team headed to a first league defeat of the campaign in the 19 matches. In the previous campaign, CSKA Moscow were able to finish in the second spot – seven points behind Spartak Moscow. Dinamo Moscow, meanwhile, were able to get their promotion back into the top flight after winning the second year.
The club were relegated to the second tier for the first time after a very poor campaign which they finished 15th in the table.
“I appreciate the love, kindness, support, and generosity. Thank you! @tashaev88 Massive win,” said Tetteh in his response on Twitter. The whole football fraternity has come back to the support of Tetteh, who is related to Derek Boateng. Tetteh will be hoping to get back to the pitch as soon as possible and help Dinamo Moscow to a strong campaign in the 2017-18 season.
Germany have remained an obvious force to reckon with in the round leather game for years.
They are undoubtedly the most consistent side in the game through several generations. After breaking their jinx to lift the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, they remain a strong force to retain the title at the tournament in Russia next year.
The strength in depth, the succession planning, consistency, confidence and good management all favour them ahead of the competition for the World Cup 2018 title. Joachim Low has taken an experimental and youthful side to the ongoing Confederations Cup and it might pay off next year. Only three players from the 2014 squad provide experience at the Confed Cup but the benefits would be reaped for many years.
Manuel Neuer is strong in goal – arguably the best keeper in the world for the past three years. Barring any injury, he is expected to start in goal next year. Joshua Kimmich has had a bit of a snag under Bayern Munich Coach Carlo Ancelotti, who prefers experience to youth. However, Kimmich would likely get a spot in the first team next year. Mat Hummels and Jerome Boateng are decent and expected central defensive options. In left back, Jonas Hector or Marcel Schmelzer could easily boss opponents. Continue reading

The 2017 Confederations Cup is the only edition of that football competition that the Russian national football side has ever managed to qualify and the only reason why they were qualified is because Russia is serving as the hosts.
When it comes to qualifying for the Confederations Cup, it’s something that Russia has never really managed to do and the furthest round that the Russian national side has reached was the semi-finals of the UEFA European Championship which was back on 2008.
It’s clear that Russia has struggled trying to reach the advanced stages of the bigger international football competitions but nonetheless the head coach of the Russian national side StanislavCherchesov is feeling like his team is going through a very impressive progress and that his squad is being rebuilt.
